Nigerian Cartoonist; Ugo Jesse Raises Awareness Against Body Shaming

Body shaming is one of the major issues plaguing our society, particularly when it comes to the youths, that’s why we are constantly raising talking points to help battle such negativity. Today we are featuring the work of Nigerian cartoonist and Instagram sensation; Ugo Jesse, known for using his skill to talk about issues like; rape, depression, cancer awareness, society/political issues and many more. Ugo has recently added body positivity to his long list of advocacy issues with a cartoon that shows the disturbing effects of body shaming, take a look below;

With a strong following of over 68k fans, the picture received missed reactions with over 200 comments most of which commended Ugo for his speaking up against body shaming and also shared their personal experiences. However, the post also attracted a fair share of body shaming comments too, this clearly means there is still much work to be done and we are happy to have someone as talented as Ugo Jesse on our side.
