October 11 was the International Celebrate Your Girl Day with the hashtag Girl Hero and one of ATCL’s favorite body positve activist and super plus model, Ashley Graham was not missing in the action. She was one of the guest speakers at the united nations foundation Girl Up as they celebrated girls of all sizes, colours and race from different parts of the world. #DayOfTheGirl recognized all of the young female leaders advocating for change and Ashley was one of the #GirlHero.
Girl Up is led by a community of nearly half a million passionate advocates who raise awareness and funds to reach girls living in places where it is hardest to be a girl. Girl Up Champions and Global Advocates represent a diverse group of individuals from celebrities, athletes, business executives to philanthropists who actively work to empower, raise funds, advocate and educate young adolescent girls around the globe.
Ashley Graham did not disappoint at this worthy cause as she encouraged and inspired all the young ladies present with her body positive messages telling them “You are bold, you are brilliant, and there is no other woman like you.”
The Girls wore different Tee shirts carrying the inspiring message You See A Girl, I See The Future
Ashley has proven herself once again to be an inspiration not just to the plus size community but beyond.
